Staff

The rooms of Prof. Karl, the secretary's office and the staff are located in the Technologiefabrik on the 2nd floor. From the main entrance of the Technologiefabrik you can reach the second floor either by elevator or via the large staircase. On the 2nd floor, turn left from the staircase into wing B and follow the corridor to the relevant rooms.

The room and telephone numbers can be found in the staff list!

 

Pool rooms

If you have any questions about the CAPP pool rooms, please only contact Prof. Karl's staff!

The pool rooms are located on the same level as the staff offices in room 314.1. The room for final theses is room 312.2.

 

Arrival by car

  • From the north:
    Take the A5 towards Karlsruhe/Basel to the exit “Karlsruhe-Durlach”, then take the first exit west towards Karlsruhe. Follow the main road and the signs to the university. At Durlacher Tor, turn right into Haid-und-Neu-Straße. After about 700m you will see the destination on your left.
  • From the east:
    Take the A8 towards Karlsruhe to the A5 junction. Change to the A5 towards Karlsruhe and take the exit "Karlsruhe-Durlach" . Take the second exit (Karlsruhe) to the west. Follow the main road and signs as if you were coming "from the north".
  • From the south and southwest:
    Take the A5 towards Frankfurt to the exit "Karlsruhe-Durlach". Take the second exit (Karlsruhe) to the west. Follow the main road and signs as if you were coming "from the north".
  • From the north-west:
    Take the A61 to the A5; from there, see directions "From the north".

Guests can use the visitor parking lot of the Technologiefabrik.

 

Arrival by train

If you wish to travel by train, please refer to the online connection planner of Deutsche Bahn AG under one of the following two links:

Your destination stop is Karlsruhe Central Station. Leave the station via the main exit. To get to the Technologiefabrik, take one of the following public transport connections:

  • S-Bahn S2 to Blankenloch/Spöck
  • Streetcar 4 in the direction of Waldstadt
  • Streetcar 5 to Rintheim

Travel through to the Karl-Wilhelm-Platz or Hauptfriedhof stop.

Arriving by plane

The nearest international airports are Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main. Flights within Europe are also served by Baden-Airport in Baden-Baden. From there you can reach Karlsruhe by car or by train (see above) or from Baden-Baden by public transport. The journey takes about 90 minutes from Frankfurt, 60 minutes from Stuttgart and 45 minutes from Baden-Baden.

  • from Stuttgart:
    There is a shuttle bus from the airport to Stuttgart Central Station. Please refer to the Deutsche Bahn timetable for connections. The starting points are Stuttgart Airport or Stuttgart Central Station, the destination is Karlsruhe Central Station.
  • from Frankfurt am Main:
    There is a long-distance train connection directly at the airport. Please refer to the Deutsche Bahn timetable information for connections. The starting points are Frankfurt M Flugh. or Frankfurt Main Central Station, destination is Karlsruhe Central Station.

 

...in Karlsruhe

Karlsruhe has a very good public transportation system. If you live in the city center, we recommend using a tram: During normal office hours, there is a streetcar every 2 to 10 minutes.
Public transportation in Karlsruhe is operated by the KVV (Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund). You can therefore use a single ticket for all trams and buses.
